Nothing feels like Fall more than eating apples, pumpkin, and cinnamon. One of our favorite ways to make ice cream is by blending up frozen bananas with mix-ins and added toppings.

The first time I ever made this was in my Yonana’s Ice Cream Maker. It did an outstanding job, but other appliances will get the job done as well. I have also done this in my Vitamixer and food processor. So, pick your weapon of choice.

Ingredients
  • 2 fully yellow bananas frozen first and thawed for 15 minutes
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin frozen first and thawed for 15 minutes
  • 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice (or more to taste)
  • 1 Tbsp. pure maple syrup
  • dark chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions
  1. In a high power blender or food processor, blend all ingredients. Top with dark chocolate chips if desired. Serve immediately.
