Any other breakfast-for-dinner families out there? Moms and dads, I know you hear me, because let’s be honest…it’s a meal the whole family usually loves and dissolves the picky-eater problem.
When trying to eat real food, breakfast can be a hurdle to jump. Our culture is centered around processed, sugary breakfasts cereals, granola bars, pop tarts, processed meats, and smothering pancakes in high fructose corn syrup. If you are in love with these type of breakfasts, I can assure you will find real food breakfasts that taste outstanding and you’ll feel better after you eat it to!
One of our favorite breakfasts for dinner is pancakes or waffles. But, instead of smothering them in the artificial syrups, try using 100% pure maple syrup. Yes this is still sugar, but having it come from our earth brings me peace of mind and is always a better alternative to highly processed sugars. “But, it’s expensive!” – I hear you! Costco is a great resource for many less expensive healthy items and still maintains quality. But, if the syrup price still seems steep, you can do what I do and make this Simple Berry Syrup instead! This will for sure spread out the longevity of your maple syrup! AND…you get fiber (this helps your blood sugar stay stable), added nutrients, and a much better option for your breakfast for dinner syrups.
